Fine Grain Property marks IBEC's 7th National Workplace Wellbeing Day

At Fine Grain Property, we recognise that employee health and wellbeing is of increasing importance in the world of work, particularly over the past year.

The transition to working from home has been seismic for companies and employees alike. Finding the balance between optimal working in a different environment and health and wellbeing is continually evolving.

In addition to keeping our employees physically safe from contracting Covid-19, we have placed emphasis on being proactive in our approach to our mental wellbeing. We are dedicated to ensuring that we provide worthwhile platforms for our employees to engage with to combat the stresses that remote working can create.

To complement our ongoing focus on employee wellness, Fine Grain Property is marking IBEC’s 7th National Workplace Wellbeing Day which is centred around social, mental and physical wellbeing with the launch of our dedicated wellness programme.

In conjunction with National Workplace Wellbeing Day, we are delighted to initiate the programme with the first of the sessions for our team, “Mental Fitness and Re-energising the Brain for Improved Wellbeing”, led by Alva O’ Sullivan, nutrition, fitness and workplace wellness expert. Throughout the year, we will run a number of workshops focused on practical tools to boost mental fitness, re-energise the brain and improve wellbeing.

As remote working continues and the return to work will likely centre on a hybrid approach, we are also considering an updated approach to employee engagement.

One activity that we have centred on as a team is developing our knowledge on how we can contribute to a more sustainable world. We have partnered with Grow It Yourself (GIY), a Waterford based company, on their “GROWCircle Programme”. The programme focuses on learning to live healthier, happier and more sustainable lives by teaching participants how to grow their own food. GIY provides a number of supports to ensure a full team experience starting with a Grow at Home box which contains all the tools necessary to learn to grow your own food and be proactive about your health and wellbeing.

Initiatives like these are critical in keeping our team engaged and connected as we move forward in 2021.

Workplace wellbeing benefits everyone, and we are proud to celebrate all of our employees today.
