As we approach the end of a year when we have spent much more time apart than together, the Fine Grain team gathered for a walk on a crisp, clear December day in Dublin.
There's a novelty and excitement about seeing each other in person, after so many months of disembodied faces and voices booming out from screens at home!
As a turbulent and uncertain year comes to a close, our conversation was reflective, and turned to the positives that are emerging from this year's challenges - gratitude for our health, time with family, our increasing closeness as a team, some transformative work to build a solid foundation for future growth, and deeper ties to our community of clients and business parters.
The world has grown smaller in the past year. Whatever our background, and wherever we live and work, we have been reminded of how much each of us relies on the other to build a sustainable future together.
As the Irish proverb says - Ní neart go cur le chéile - there is no strength without unity.
Wishing everybody a very happy Christmas, and looking forward to better days as the world re-emerges in 2021.
