Ron Bolger
Chairman

Ron brings a wealth of experience and network in Singapore and Asia to the Firm.   His senior Corporate and Government experience provides corporate governance and board expertise to the management of the Firm.  His broad international contact base enhances the effectiveness of the firm in carrying out its strategies to add value on behalf of investors.

Ron has served as Singapore Honorary Consul General to Ireland since 2000.

He was Managing Partner of KPMG in Ireland and Head of the Asia Pacific Practice. He was also a member of KPMG’s Europe and International Boards.

Principal of Ely Capital, Chairman of the Galway Clinic (Private Hospital) and Irish Food Processors. Former Chairman of the Irish State Telecommunications Company (Telecom Eireann) and Vice Chairman of Ireland’s largest mutual building society (EBS).

Vice Chairman of AerCap Holdings NV, a quoted aircraft leasing company on the New York Stock Exchange.

Member of the Irish Government’s Asia Strategy Group.  Former member of the Irish Prime Minister’s committee on the International Financial Services Centre (“IFSC”), Dublin.

 

Colin MacDonald
Managing Director

As the founder and leader of Fine Grain Property Pte Ltd, Colin’s local personal, business and property knowledge in Singapore and his extensive contact base are integral to the success of the Firm.

Resident in Asia since 1989.  A former International Banker with HSBC working in Singapore, Taiwan, Bahrain, and Hong Kong, Colin has spent the past 13 years successfully repositioning property in Singapore through rebranding, refurbishment and/or reconfiguration.

He established the profitable, well-known McCraic Food and Beverage Group in Singapore in 1997, building and operating popular bar and restaurant brands over a 12 year period, until he oversaw the successful sale of the Group in October 2009.

Colin managed the USD$250m redevelopment and restoration of the historic 5-star Fullerton Hotel in Singapore’s former General Post Office during three years employed with Far East Organization, Singapore’s largest private property developer.

As a key member of the sale committee of owners at Singapore’s prime Nassim Park Condominium, he managed the S$3XX en-bloc sale of the 104-unit condominium for redevelopment.

Colin is President of the Irish Chamber of Commerce, Singapore.

 

Alastair MacDonald
Director, Property Structuring

Alastair brings hands-on professional management and compliance expertise to Fine Grain, and contributes specialist expertise on property origination, financing, structuring and fund management and administration to the team. 

Alastair currently serves as Managing Partner, MKO Partners Chartered Accountants & Registered Auditors, Ireland.  Alastair's clients include financial institutions, property funds and investors, whom he advises on property origination, funding and structuring in addition to providing regulatory and compliance services. Alastair works closely with Irish and international clients on corporate advisory matters including restructuring, internal procedures reviews and regulatory/compliance issues. 

Former Manager, Deloitte, Ireland, Financial Services Group.

Irish representative member on the Irish and UK Joint Investment Business Committee for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI), formulating regulatory policy in relation to investment business matters, and responding to consultative papers issued by the Financial Regulator or the FSA.

Vice-Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee of the Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board (CARB), Ireland.

Pete Gan
Finance Manager

Pete’s experience in financial control, funds and property management process are a key element of Fine Grain’s competitive advantage.

He is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and he also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) Accounting.

Former Audit Assistant Manager in KPMG, Pete has 5 years audit experience in general insurance, property management, REITs and funds, managing various statutory audit assignments and special audits in relation to mergers, acquisitions and IPO.

 

Nicole Lim
Property Leasing & Sales Manager

Nicole brings highly effective marketing and project management skills to the leasing and sale of property. 

Her expertise in individual property branding, up to and including hands-on management of the leasing process, is instrumental in driving asset yields, particularly under challenging market conditions.

An experienced project manager and negotiator, Nicole was previously responsible for business development & project management with the McCraic Food and Beverage Group.  She oversaw the execution of a highly effective marketing strategies for 9 years in the highly competitive Singapore retail F&B market.
