Kneat Solutions, a leading developer of validation software for the life sciences industry has signed a lease agreement for 12,700 square feet of high-quality sustainable workspace with Fine Grain Property at its Hawthorn House development, within the National Technological Park in Limerick.
The state-of-the-art office space can host up to 100 Kneat employees, providing additional space to accommodate the rapidly expanding software company’s growing workforce.
Declan O’Connor, Fine Grain’s Property Director, said that the new lease was a welcome landmark in the continuing story of Hawthorn House. “The site on which Hawthorn House stands was acquired as part of a €25m deal in 2018, since then we have spent a further €12m developing the building, declaring it fully open for business in the last couple of months.
“Our existing buildings – also situated on the National Technological Park – are already home to around 1,200 people and we’re delighted that Kneat are choosing Hawthorn House to facilitate their continued business growth. We are committed to facilitating ongoing growth in Plassey, and we plan to keep investing in the area to deliver the space and facilities our clients need to succeed and create jobs.”
Eddie Ryan, CEO of Kneat Solutions said “Our software helps the largest life sciences companies to move from paper intensive to fully digital business processes. It gives me great pleasure to be expanding into a premise that provides quality conditions for an innovative software company and shares some of our goals of efficiency and low environmental impact.”
The National Technological Park is already home to leading international companies and is an established centre for the burgeoning technology and MedTech sectors. It is also adjacent to the University of Limerick, a valuable resource for companies and their employees.
The Hawthorn House development is reflective of the collective community in Limerick. The building was constructed by Fine Grain Property and enabled by ISIF (Ireland Strategic Investment Fund). It actively supports economic impact in Limerick through jobs growth and facilitating rapidly growing companies, such as Kneat.
IDA Ireland is a major investor in the Park and is focussed on facilitating jobs growth and employment opportunities in the area. It has recently announced an investment in further transport infrastructure to decrease wait times and increase the efficiency of cycle lanes and bus lanes, making access to the site easier and simpler for those who work there.
